John Rowe

John began leading UESF in March, 2007. He has extensive experience in the areas of addressing poverty and achieving self-sufficiency, including energy, housing, homelessness, tenants' rights and welfare reform.
Michele Thomas (Program Director)
Michele has been with UESF since its founding in 1983. She is responsible for the UESF Grant Program which provides emergency utility assistance to customers as well as reporting on contracts UESF holds with various agencies. She is also the relationship supervisor for the applications accepted at the UESF Intake Sites.
Marjorie Glenn

Since joining UESF in 2000, Marjorie handles the front lines. As the primary contact for interested clients and intake center counselors, she is responsible for applicants to meet the eligibility requirements. marjorieglenn@uesfacts.org

Luis joined UESF in September, 2010. Under the Utility Grant Program, he has brought his technological experience and computer management skills to the organization, allowing for faster and more effective workflow with the integration of new software and technology. He is also the designer of the uesfacts.org website.

Emily Montalvo

Emily joined UESF as a Development Intern in 2008. A recent graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, Emily directs the UESF/PWDC Supportive Services Program and the Homelessness Prevention Program (HPRP). Among her responsibilities are overseeing the administration of the HPRP program providing housing assistance to low income households facing imminent loss of housing and leading the UESF/PWDC Supportive Services Program which provides housing counseling and energy assistance. emilymontalvo@uesfacts.org
Sharlim Ortiz

Sharlim started with UESF in the Autumn of 2009 supporting the UESF Grant Program and has become a Housing Stabilization Specialist concentrating on the Homelessness Prevention Program (HPRP). Her duties include intake and processing of customers facing imminent homelessness, providing financial assistance and identifying linkages to additional supportive services. sharlimortiz@uesfacts.org
Eliza Brown

Eliza joined UESF during the Summer, 2009 as a Data Entry Specialist. In February 2010, Eliza assumed the position of Program Specialist. She is responsible for the intake of applications from the UESF Intake Sites as well as providing direct assistance to customers seeking utility assistance through the UESF Grant Program.
Evan Levy

Evan works directly in the UESF/Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation Supportive Services Program. He provides participants with direct supportive housing and utility assistance along with referral services to mitigate the challenges to self-sufficiency that the customers face. A graduate of Dickinson College, Evan brings experience in direct client assistance from his previous work with ACHIEVEability. evanlevy@uesfacts.org

Since joining UESF in 1999, she has been responsible for the daily financial operations of the organization. She works with the independent auditors and insures accurate disbursement is made.

Lynette Jordan

Ms. Jordan came to UESF in February 2010 and began work as a Program Specialist in the TANF Housing Stabilization Program. In her current position, she is responsible for intake, assessment, screening, review of eligibility criteria, processing of applications for assistance, and referrals to additional services as needed. Ms. Jordan is currently pursuing her degree in Business Management at Pierce College.

Shanay Johnson

Ms. Johnson has been with UESF since August 2010 as a Program Specialist in the TANF Housing Stabilization Program. In her current position, she is responsible for intake, assessment, screening, review of eligibility criteria, processing of applications for assistance, and referrals She has an Associate’s Degree from Community College of Philadelphia in Culture Science and Technology , and is currently working toward a Bachelors Degree in General Studies at Drexel University. shanayjohnson@uesfacts.org
