The Family Assistance Fund (FAF) requires that any Philadelphia household with an employed member that has a child under the age of 18 and meets our eligibility guidelines can apply for this grant. UESF understands the demands of time put on families today and through the help of other interested parties, have devised this online application to assist families at a time most convenient to them and not when their children need them most.

To apply for the utility grant, you will be asked a series of questions to determine your basic eligibility and then prompted to the application page. Finally you will be given a tracking number to make sure the application process is completed in a timely manner.

Basic eligibility requirements are as follows:

• You must be a Philadelphia resident.
• The head of household must have the utility bill in the applicant's name or show proof of responsibility for the bill.
• The family must not have received assistance from UESF in the past 24 months.
• The family must have applied for LIHEAP Cash and Crisis programs when open.
• Families must not be on a payment plan with the utility company.
• Families would be required to show meaningful employment for at least one member of the household.
• The total family income must be at or below 175% of the federal poverty income guideline.
• Families would be required to have proof of responsibility for persons under the age of 18
