The 15th Annual PECO Universal Services Best Ball Golf Tournament, held on October 10th, 2011 at Paxon Hollow Country Club was a tremendous success, raising over $30,000 for the Matching Energy Assistance Fund (MEAF) for Vulnerable Families. Over 20 foursomes played the picturesque course in beautiful 70 degree weather. The day concluded with a dinner and raffle featuring an array of prizes. Since its inception, the MEAF Golf Tournament has assisted over 1,600 low-income PECO customers with over $370,000 of support during its first fourteen years. This year, the proceeds for this fundraising event will be shared by the Bucks County Opportunity Council (BCOC), the Community Action Agency of Delaware County (CAADC), the Montgomery County Community Action Development Commission (CADCOM), Mason-Dixon Cares of York County, PECO customers of Chester County and the Utility Emergency Services Fund (UESF).
