  • Since 1983, UESF has provided support totaling more that $55,000,000 to the low-income households in Philadelphia.

  • Over 354,000 people have benefited from a grant from UESF.

  • 44% of UESF clients derive income from pension, disability and social security.

  • 67% of the households served have children.

  • The average household contains 2.7 people

  • 79% of the households have a female head of household.

  • The average household income of a UESF client is $12,200.

  • 34% of UESF clients derive income from employment.

  • Senior citizens comprise over 15% of UESF's clients.

  • Only 25% of UESF clients seek additional assistance within 5 years.

  • John Rowe was named as the 4th Executive Director in March, 2007.
